TESOL Endorsement

The Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Endorsement is for available for educators who hold an Ohio teaching license. This completely online, graduate-level, accredited program prepares teachers to interact with ELL students in grades K-12. TESOL courses can also be taken for continuing education credits. Candidates in the TESOL program will participate and learn in smaller classes taught by experienced TESOL and SIOP-trained faculty. Courses are offered asynchronously every semester and in the summer. The TESOL endorsement can be completed in one year and uniquely expands teacher qualifications and strengthens career potential.

The School of Education is accredited through Spring 2026 by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) formally known as the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and has been accredited since 1966. CAEP advances equity and excellence in educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation that assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning. All School of Education licensure programs are approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
